Arizona's Superintendent of Public Instruction, Diane Douglas, has sparked an outcry among some state science teachers for proposing new draft K-12 science standards that
remove the word "evolution" and its explanations which they see as a
push to replace the Darwinian theory with the teaching of Intelligent
Design.
